Project Manager & Lead Designer of a Four Pump, 160 Hp, Potable Water Booster Pump Station. Reduced Voltage Motor Drives. Magnetic Flow Meter, Full Radio-Based SCADA System, Remote and Local Controls. Traveling Bridge Crane Designed for Pump Room Interior. Separate Room in Reinforced CMU Building for 180 kW On-Site Secondary Power Stand-by Generator With Noise Controls. Project Located in Residential Area and Required Security Fencing, Intrusion Alarms and Landscaping to Mitigate Visual Impacts to Homeowners. Detailed Steady-State and Hydraulic Transient Analyses Completed Using KYPIPE2010.

Project Manager & Lead Designer (with other firm) of a Dual Pressure Zone, 900 HP, Vertical Turbine, VFD-Controlled Booster Station. Hydro-Pneumatic Tank Included for Surge Control. Design Included Adjacent, At-Grade 3 MGal Steel Reservoir and a Deep Well System. The Wells Supplied the 3 MGal Tank with PS Supply Water and Booster Station Pumped into Two Separate Pressure Zones. 3 MGal Tank Required Seismic Foundation. Special Stone Column Seismic Foundation Design Required for Liquefiable Soils Under the Pump Station

Project Manager & Lead Designer of a Submersible, Dual Pump, 30 Hp, Emergency Sewer Lift Station. Magnetic Flow Meter, Full Radio-Based SCADA System, Remote and Local Controls. Proejct Located in Residential Area and Required Security Fencing, Intrusion Alarms, New Rock Acess Road and Irrigated Landscaping to Mitigate Visual Impacts to Homeowners. Project Completed on Schedule and Under Budget.
Pleasant View Sewer Lift Station Replacement
City of Port Hueneme, CA (Owners):
Project Manager/Lead Designer for the Replacement of a Sewer Lift Station Located at the Beach Near the City's Very Busy Pier. The New Station Could Have Required Extensive Dewatering, Which Was Avoided Using the Specified "Sinking Cassion Method" for Excavation in Areas of High Groundwater/Seawater. Both The Client and Contractor Were Impressed With the Design and Engineer-Required Cassion Approach to Construction.
Vallecitos Booster Pump Station Replacement
Rainbow Municipal Water District (Owner):
Project Manager & Lead Designer of a Comprehensive, Multi-Discipline Pre-Design Report for the Replacement of a Potable Water Booster Pump Station Located in a Remote Portion of the District's Service Area. Report Evaluated Condition of Existing Station, Wide Range of Replacement Alternatives, Uncovered & CMU Building, Variable Speed Motor Drives, Vertical Turbine Can and Horizontal Centrifugal Pumps, and Many SCADA and Control Options. 30% Design Drawings Were Completed Together With Detailed Steady-State and Hydraulic Transient Analyses Using KYPIPE 2008.
"C" Street Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation

City of Port Hueneme, CA (Owners):
Project Manager/Lead Designer of the Rehabilitation of a Existing High Capacity Lift Station Located Within the Gateway to the City's Pier Area. The Site Was Located Adjacent to a Busy Bank of America. The Wet Well Was Re-Lined with T-Lock, VFD-Motor Drives and Larger Motors Were Installed in the Dry Well, With Landscaping and Odor Control Sited Above Grade.
